Murray Darling Scenic Flights is a business deeply linked to the basin communities of the Central Murray over which it flies and believes in “keeping it local”.
Owned and operated by Caldwell farmers Peter and Wendy McDonald, the business enhances the tourism economy of the region.
Peter is a fifth generation farmer. The McDonald’s strongly believe that you have to step lightly on the land. Increasing understanding of the geography and beauty of the Basin’s magnificent landscapes enhances a sense of connection to place. They hope that with connection comes care. Murray Darling Scenic Flights actively supports local landcare providers, keeping their off sets real.

The scale and beauty of significant landscapes in the Central Murray Basin has to be seen to be believed.
We fly from the River to the Outback, over Redgum forests, wetlands, agricultural landscapes and ancient desert lakes that create a jigsaw from Barmah in the east to Mildura in the west. Murray Darling Scenic Flights offer routes over the stunning salt lake system of Lake Tyrrell in Northern Victoria, operating out of the Sea Lake and Swan Hill Airports. Flights to the ancient site of Lake Mungo, Yanga National Park, Gayini Wetlands, Barmah/Millewa Forest and over the Murray River are offered out of Echuca, Swan Hill and Deniliquin Airports . Special overnight River to Outback packages depart Echuca or Swan Hill.
